The Mitsubishi Pajero is an extremely popular car on the streets of the UAE, mainly because it serves as an exceptional family SUV and an ultra-capable weekend warrior. Today, Ben talks to us about his unique 2011 Pajero SWB and all the modifications he’s done and plans to do to it.
What car do you currently drive?
I drive a 2011 Mitsubishi Pajero SWB
Have you owned any interesting cars in the past?
As I am only 19, I haven’t owned any other cars in the past, but I definitely do consider myself fortunate to have this as my first car.
What got you into cars?
I grew up playing lots of car games. So when I moved to Dubai around 15 years ago, it was like I was living in a car game. Seeing all of the different and unique cars as well as the cars that had gone through major transformations had always interested me.
What is unique about your car? Have you customized it in any way?
I think what makes my car unique is the journey. When I first bought this car, I made a TikTok video showing off some of the first modifications I had done to it. This being a 12.2 inch Tesla screen, Subwoofer, and chrome delete. Unexpectedly this TikTok blew up overnight reaching 85,000 views. Followed by the views there were hundreds of comments giving suggestions as to what I should do next to the car. From that I created the TikTok series called Pajero Mods on the3.8way TikTok, doing a modification on each episode. So far, I have done front and rear skid plates, Yokohama Geolander tires, a cold air intake, Valvetronic muffler, interior LED lights, bumper cut, sidestep delete, and blacked out the rear tire cover.
Do you have any upgrades or modifications in the pipeline?
I have a lot of modifications planned for the future such as a 2" lift kit, Method rims, Chiptuning, and much more. You can follow me on “the3.8way” on Instagram and TikTok to see updates on the car.
Tell me one car you would swap your current car for?
Personally, I love short-wheelbase cars so if I were to swap my car to any car, it would be a Nissan Patrol Y61 SWB as I just love the aesthetic of them.
