Know the Basic Steps

Even if you're not driving your car, it may still encounter issues like a dead battery. Therefore, make it a point to start the engine for a few minutes from time to time to prevent problems.

• Battery: It's essential to run the engine for 15 minutes each week and make sure to park your car in an open or well-ventilated area.
• Brakes: Be sure to start the car and move it within the parking area while using the brakes weekly. If your car is parked on relatively flat ground, release the handbrake. This helps prevent rust buildup on brake rotors.
• Windshield Wipers: If your car is left outdoors for an extended period, dust, dirt, and dried soap can accumulate on the blades. Clean the wiper blades with a lint-free cloth or a paper towel dampened with windshield washer fluid.
• Fuel: Letting your car run out of fuel while parked can harm the fuel pump. Keep your fuel tank at least half full.

Check the Tires
