Event Overview
We are currently in Jordan for a media event hosted by Ford Middle East in Amman, Jordan. The goal of this event is to experience the offroading prowess of the American brand. We will be driving across Jordan through various terrains in different offerings from Ford, including:
First Impressions of the All-New Ford Edge
We are proud to be the first publication in the Middle East to test the all-new Ford Edge. This model represents the second generation of the Ford Edge, following the previous version, which was essentially a facelift. The original model was showcased back in 2013 and became available in the US last year, subsequently arriving in Europe, and now making its debut in the Middle East.
Key Features of the New Ford Edge
The new Ford Edge features:
- All-new platform
- Styling cues derived from the Taurus and Explorer
- New headlights and LED taillights
- Increased interior space
- Rear view camera
- New 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine producing 208 BHP and 450 Nm of torque
- Additional engine options include a 3.5-liter V6 and a top-spec 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6
- All-wheel drive as standard
- Standard 6-speed automatic transmission
