GAC GS3: The Affordable Compact SUV
The GAC GS3 is the Chinese automaker’s newest and most affordable compact SUV. Rivaling the Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur, and Hyundai Creta, the GS3 is targeted towards the youth with a funky design, powerful engine, and plenty of features. It takes a prominent position at the brand's Virtual Auto Show booth.
Exterior Design
From a styling perspective, the bright gold hue immediately draws attention to the GS3, while the signature swooping headlamps and chrome grille lend it a firmer look. A vanity skid plate is flanked by two sizeable fog lamps, making the GS3’s off-road aspirations clear.
Engine Options
As for engine options, the GS3 offers:
- 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated engine producing 114 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque.
- Turbocharged 1.3-liter engine pushing out 137 horsepower and 202 Nm of torque.
