Genesis has been expanding its footprint all around the globe with Hyundai’s premium brand committed to coming to new markets with the UAE being on top of its list.
Genesis wowed the crowd at the Dubai Opera on 8th Feb with its X Concept trilogy - Genesis X Concept, the Genesis X Speedium Coupe, and the Genesis X Convertible. With the three concepts, Genesis aims to mix with the big boys like Bentley and go against the British Brand famous grand-tourer - the Continental.
While some might be familiar with the X Concept, revealed in 2021 at the Los Angeles auto show, the X Speedium Coupe takes the aforementioned’s design language a step further and features an evolution of the Genesis Crest Grille to signify its electric powertrain. The X Convertible, meanwhile, has all that on show minus the roof for a “heightened sensory experience.”
We’re told that the ‘X’ in the Concept’s names signifies a “hidden hero” and also stands for explorations of various design potentials of the brand. And if that isn’t cool enough, then the sumptuous reveal at the Dubai Opera aimed to add a sense of opulence to the concepts. Breath-taking performances and top-class food and beverages were part of the event which had the presence of plenty of VIP guests, not to mention the fact that they were chauffeur driven in Genesis cars.
