Haval is the largest manufacturer of SUVs in China. And this year, it has decided to broaden its horizon by entering the Middle East. The Middle East is definitely one of the most lucrative markets for car makes. Every now and then, a new maker is building base in this region to cater to the local consumers. These days, this trend is being picked up by Chinese brands. Haval only manufactures SUVs for now and that trend is going to continue for the Middle East market as well.

The Haval H2 is the smallest offering from the Chinese brand. It measures 4.335 meters in length, 1.814 meters in width and 1.695 meters in height. The wheelbase is 2.560 meters long. The small SUV is powered by a very small 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine producing 150 brake horsepower and 210 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and the car comes with either a front-wheel-drive or an all-wheel-drive platform. All this adds up to a decent fuel consumption rate of 8.2 liters / 100 kilometers.
Coming to the interior, the car features a 3D ‘Fashionable’ Multi-Functional Instrument Cluster. In other words, it shows you all the basic driving information like fuel consumption and driving mileage. It also has front and side airbags for all passenger safety. You will also find premium features such as climate control, keyless entry and tyre pressure monitoring display. Moreover, there is a push button start system as well for added convenience. The Haval H2 will also feature reverse camera and parking sensors for additional safety.
The Haval H2 is available in the UAE courtesy Swaidan Trading. The starting price of the H2 is AED 65,000. Think of the Haval H2 as the competitor to the Suzuki Vitara.
