Hero MotoCorp Enters the UAE Market

Hero MotoCorp Ltd., the world's largest manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles based in India, has appointed Al-Futtaim Motors as its official distributor for the Gulf region. With one of its new showrooms located on Airport Road in Deira and a service center in Al Rashidiya, Hero is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for motorcycles and expand within the region.

Although the UAE market is new to this brand, Hero sold 6.63 million bikes in the last fiscal year, with cumulative sales exceeding 70 million motorcycles and scooters—numbers poised for growth. With a strong presence in 33 countries and five manufacturing plants spread across India and Colombia, Hero is now making its mark on the streets of the UAE.

2. Hunk

• Engine: 150 cc
• Power: 15.80 hp at 11,500 RPM
• Torque: 13.50 Nm at 7,000 RPM
• Transmission: 5-speed manual

3. Glamour

• Engine: 125 cc
• Power: 9.10 hp at 7,000 RPM
• Torque: 10.35 Nm at 4,000 RPM
• Transmission: 4-speed manual

4. Karizma

• Engine: 223 cc
• Power: 19.50 hp at 7,500 RPM
• Torque: 19.35 Nm at 6,000 RPM
• Transmission: 5-speed manual

5. Thriller

• Engine: 150 cc
• Power: 15.80 hp at 8,500 RPM
• Torque: 13.50 Nm at 7,000 RPM
• Transmission: 5-speed manual
