Event Overview
Honda Motor Company held an exclusive event for the launch of the all-new 2016 Honda Civic. The event was attended by Honda Middle East management and members of the media, held at the Four Seasons Resort Jumeirah Beach, Dubai. The itinerary included:
- A press conference
- A session of 'feeling' the car and giving feedback

Speeches and Introductions
The event kicked off with Mr. Shunicha Uchida, the former Regional Director of Honda Middle East, who explained the three strategies of Honda Middle East:
- Enhancement of Product
- Development of Dealer Networks
- Enhancement of Honda Middle East
He introduced the new Regional Director, Hiroaki Shibata, who is focused on changing the image of Honda Civic and restoring its former glory.
Honda Civic Brand Details
Mr. Hiroshi Ito then provided insights into the Honda Civic brand. The Civic is entering its 10th generation with the 2016 model. Since its production began in 1973, over 710,000 units have been sold by 2013, and the model is available in 170 countries, produced in 9 locations worldwide. The 2016 Honda Civic was designed with European luxury compact sedans as a benchmark, offering best-in-class volume.

Grades and Features of the 2016 Honda Civic
Mr. Arijit Basu concluded the presentation by announcing the grades and features of the 2016 Honda Civic. The new Civic will be available in the Middle East in three grades:
- LXi - Base model
- EXi - Mid-range model
- RS - Top-of-the-range model, exclusive to the Middle East, featuring:
- Rear A/C vents
- Transmission cooler for CVT
- Full-size spare tire
- Paddle shifts
- Spoiler
- Special black grille
The target market for the new Civic is buyers under 30 years.
