Honda WR V revealed at Sao Paulo Motor Show 2016

Following a series of teasers, Honda has pulled the wraps off its highly anticipated WR V at the 2016 Sao Paulo International Motor Show in Brazil. Based on the Jazz, the WR V slots in below the CR V to become to smallest crossover in the brand’s line-up.

The WR V or “Winsome Runabout Vehicle”, according to boffins at Honda, sports a prominent chrome grille, trapezoidal headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, and an aggressively styled set of bumpers. Accentuating its off-road pretentions, the WR V features roof rails, faux skid plates, a raised ground clearance, protruding wheel arches, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

Targeted to users in search of a tough urban SUV, the WR V is likely to be powered by the same engine found in the Jazz, a 1.5-liter four-cylinder unit mapped to a Front-Wheel-Drive or an All-Wheel-Drive layout. While no word on its availability in the Middle East is out yet, it could prove worthwhile for Honda to consider entering the segment and rival the likes of the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport.
