Jaguar E-Pace: Global Unveiling in London
Unveiling the Vehicle
The global unveiling of the all-new Jaguar E-Pace is set to take place tonight in London, where the vehicle will perform a daring 270-degree aerial spin. Following this event, the E-Pace will join the Jaguar family, alongside the successful F-Pace and the I-Pace electric model, which is expected to begin production in 2018.
Design and Technology
Ian Callum, Jaguar's Director of Design, stated: "The blend of high-performance sports cars in Jaguar's lineup will help the E-Pace stand out. Each Jaguar is designed to excite the senses, and we believe the E-Pace is a prime example of this, yet with its own unique character."
Stunt Attempt
Despite several previous attempts resulting in some injuries, skilled stunt driver Terry Grant will attempt a 15-meter aerial spin. This type of stunt is not new to Grant; in 2015, he set a record for the longest jump at 62 feet, launching a Jaguar F-Pace.
All-Wheel Drive Technology
The Jaguar E-Pace competes with vehicles such as the Audi Q3 and BMW X1. The new model is equipped with all-wheel drive technology and a range of Ingenium engines, alongside various connected technologies and safety features.
The company has also designated 150 test vehicles to undergo 120,000 hours of examination across four cities, including the Nürburgring, which boasts one of the best automotive testing circuits in the world.
