Kia has cemented its spot as one of the leading automotive brands by securing top spot in the J.D. Power 2022 Vehicle Dependability study.
The study used data from the problems customers encountered over the past 12 months. Do note that we are talking about people having three year old models here, basically the 2019 models so the cars were not brand new. Findings from 29,487 completed surveys were combined which measured five major vehicle areas: PP100, component replacement, software updates, vehicle appeal, and deterioration.
The score is given according to the dependability determined by the overall number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100) with other categories also taken into account.The lower the score in this index, the higher the brand is ranked.
Taking the plaudits further for Kia was the Sorento, which came first in the Upper Midsize SUV category. Not only the Sorento offers great power, versatility, progression, and a pleasant driving experience, but Kia’s flagship SUV also turned out to be very dependable as the study suggests.
The Sorento is so dependable despite the fact that it has loads of connected car features and state-of-the-art technologies which look cool but can be a bit troublesome in the long run. However in the Sorento’s case, its reliability is as good as its looks.

The fourth generation Sorento has also been recently launched in the UAE with better looks, engine, drivetrain, basically better everything. Its predecessor's reliability score will surely give a sense of assurance to the people buying the new one now available at Al Majid Motors.
