Statements from the Chief Engineer
According to Albert Biermann, Chief Engineer, this model should receive the green light and may be equipped with a turbocharged 3-cylinder engine. He stated, “We have a solid foundation with the Rio, and it’s exciting to produce a small sports car. I love this engine; it delivers performance akin to a 6-cylinder with its sound and responsiveness.”
Kia's Future Directions
While the Korean company has yet to finalize details, it will begin to take a performance-oriented approach inspired by Hyundai's "N" division. Naturally, the i20 from the "N" division will be more focused on performance.

Expected Details about the Kia Rio GT
Currently, information regarding the car's horsepower and torque is not available, but it is expected to reach around 180 horsepower.
