Koenigsegg has unleashed its most intense road‑legal hypercar yet, the Sadair’s Spear. This track-focused beast is a stripped-down, more powerful evolution of the Jesko Attack. With an astonishing 1,603 hp (on E85 fuel) and just 30 units built, it’s designed to shatter expectations and lap records.
Born from Legacy, Crafted for Speed
The name “Sadair’s Spear” honors founder Christian von Koenigsegg’s father’s last racehorse. It takes the Jesko Attack blueprint and turns the intensity up, combining aggressive aero, revised engine tuning, and significant weight reduction.
Powertrain: Amplified V8 Brutality
Powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 and Koenigsegg’s nine-speed flywheel-free Light Speed Transmission, the Sadair's Spear delivers 1,282 hp on pump fuel and jumps to 1,603 hp on E85. New air intakes, enhanced cooling, and refined ECU mapping add around 20-25 hp over the Jesko Attack.
Extreme Aero and Precision Engineering
Koenigsegg has overhauled airflow to improve track performance. The rear gains a double-blade active wing, while front canards, extended diffuser strakes, and hood vents boost downforce by around 20 percent, to nearly 1,770 kg (3,891 lb). The rear end is also stretched for better stability.
We’re told that the aerodynamic package also enhances cooling and boosts airflow by roughly 30 percent.
Lightened to Rippable Performance
Dropping about 35 kg (77 lb), the Sadair’s Spear sheds insulation, uses thinner mounts, carbon-fiber consoles, and specially designed wheels to achieve a sub-1,400 kg curb weight. Michelin Cup 2 tires (with optional Cup 2 R) on carbon Aircore wheels and upgraded carbon-ceramic brakes enhance track grip.
On its debut test, the Sadair’s Spear destroyed the Jesko Attack’s record at Sweden’s Gotland Ring by over 1.1 seconds. WOW.
Exclusivity, Availability, and Pricing
Only 30 units will be built, each priced around US $5 million, and guess what, all have been sold out before the full public reveal. Deliveries are expected to begin later this year.
