Launch of the New Audi R8 in the Middle East
Audi Middle East held a special event to unveil the new Audi R8 and the Audi Sport brand (find out more about the event here) in Abu Dhabi. Let’s take a closer look at Audi Sport.
Audi Sport Showrooms
In 2016, there will be seven official Audi Sport showrooms. Ali & Sons, the official representative of Audi in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, will launch the world's first exclusive showroom for Audi Sport vehicles. All showrooms will be staffed by specialists in Audi Sport, offering accessories and apparel specific to the Audi Sport brand.
High-Performance Cars
High-performance vehicles, such as the Audi models bearing the RS badge and the all-new R8, are integral to the Audi Sport lineup. The following Audi Sport models will be available in the Middle East in 2016:
- Audi R8
- RS 6 Performance
- RS 7 Performance
- RS 6 Avant
- RS 7
- RS Q3 Performance
- RS 3
The Heritage of Audi Sport
The Audi Sport brand was established to highlight the significance of Audi's racing heritage and the success of its modern models. Audi Sport is built on five pillars:
- Factory for motorsport
- Customer racing
- Performance models
- Performance parts
- Trade
Enrico Atanasio, Director of Audi Middle East, stated that what drives Audi's persistence is its pioneering spirit and innovative breakthroughs. He added that motorsport runs in their veins and is the reason behind innovations like Quattro, e-tron, and ultra. He also mentioned that Audi legends, such as Walter Röhrl and Tom Kristensen, who have won Le Mans five times, have shaped the Audi Sport brand.
