With three days to go before the start of the 2017 Saudi International Motor Show, MG Motor announces the reveal of the RX5 compact SUV for the first time in the Middle East. The presence of MG at the Saudi Motor Show, follows the recent announcement of the brand’s return to the Kingdom as it accelerates the expansion of its product line-up.

Mr. Tom Lee, Managing Director SAIC Motor Middle East, said: “The Saudi International Motor Show is one of the most important events in the Middle East motoring calendar, so we feel it is the ideal platform for us to launch such an important new car to the region. The MG RX5 embodies the positive, new direction the brand is taking, and we are looking forward to rolling it out across the region.”
The MG RX5 is the latest model to join the brand’s exciting line-up of vehicles. The futuristic exterior design is complemented by an attractive cabin that is home to plenty of technology. LED headlamps and an imposing front grille catch the gaze of passersby, while the best-in-class interior space is bound to impress.

Power is derived from a choice of two turbocharged engines. Both 2.0T and 1.5T units deliver impressive performance and efficiency, and are mated to six and seven-speed transmissions respectively. The RX5 will be joined on the MG stand by the ZS crossover, another new model that marks an exciting new era of design for the brand and which will be making its regional debut in Jeddah.
