Introduction
The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group, manufacturer of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, and Ram worldwide, has announced an extension for all Mopar customers whose warranties are set to expire during the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Middle East. Mopar is the exclusive provider of service, parts, and customer care for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles globally.
Extension Conditions
Under the extension terms, any Mopar customer with a contractual warranty, maintenance plan, or extended warranty that expires during the lockdown period will receive an additional month of coverage after the lockdown ends, as determined by local authorities.
Customers are encouraged to contact service centers to schedule appointments for vehicle maintenance within this extended month, adhering to the basic terms outlined in their expired contracts.
Statement from the Mopar Director
Explaining the rationale behind this extension, Maher Abdullah, Director of Mopar Service, Parts, Customer Care, and Supply Chain for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in the Middle East, stated:
"The world is currently facing an unprecedented challenge, and we want to assist our customers in any way possible to alleviate the pressures of this situation. Most of our customers are confined to their homes through no fault of their own, and we want to ensure they remain safe during the lockdown. As a result, we have extended the expiration dates of their warranties to enable them to schedule maintenance appointments for their vehicles once the lockdown is lifted."
