Significance of the Nissan Patrol Gannas
Named after its purpose, the Patrol Gannas stands out as a remarkable vehicle developed by Al Masaood Automobiles, showcased at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
History of the Gannas Vehicle
As noted by the Production Manager at Al Masaood Automobiles, who oversaw this project: "The Gannas is not a new concept; it was first introduced in the fifth generation of the Nissan Patrol in 1994-1995, equipped with off-road tires and a water tank in the third row of rear seats. Today, we have revived this vehicle, developing a special version designed to serve off-road enthusiasts in the UAE."
Features of the Nissan Patrol Gannas
What distinguishes the Gannas from the standard V8 version is its array of features, including skid plates, ARB BP51 suspension system, onboard air compressor, 18-inch Hutchinson wheels, a button to disable the anti-lock braking system, and a flagpole.
Additional options include:
- 290-liter fuel tank (493 AED to fill the tank, with an estimated range of 2320 km!)
- Rear spare tire carrier
- Hidden winch (hoist)
- Off-road tires
- ARB kit
- A set of sand ladders
Testing the Gannas Vehicle
The vehicle underwent rigorous testing in the Empty Quarter desert, where it also stands out from the standard model with a height increase of 50 mm and a weight gain of approximately 70 kg. Priced at 260,000 AED, Al Masaood is expected to sell 400 units during the upcoming fiscal year.
