Nissan is turning back the clock and doing it with flair. The 2026 Z Heritage Edition is a nod to the brand’s golden era, especially the 300ZX of the 1990s. It builds on the Performance trim of the current Z lineup, adding visual touches, unique materials, and retro charm to bring nostalgia into the present.

Styling Inspired by Legends

The standout here is paint. The Heritage Edition is bathed in Midnight Purple, a color famously tied to the GT-R lineage. It isn’t alone. Bronze “Twin Turbo” graphics run along the doors, matching a set of bronze 19-inch Rays wheels and trim accents. 

A carbon-fiber rear spoiler carries its own “Twin Turbo” badging, and the Z badge near the rear pillar is framed with a gold wreath. Red brake calipers complete the picture. 

Under the Hood, Familiar Performance

Mechanically, it’s still very much the Z you know. All Heritage Editions are based on the Performance trim, which comes with Nissan’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. That means about 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Drivers get the choice between a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. 

Standard on this trim are Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires and a mechanical limited-slip differential. So while the Heritage Edition focuses on looks, none of its driving capability is compromised. 

Interior Feel: Retro Meets Everyday Use

Inside, the Heritage Edition doesn’t try to completely recreate the past. Instead, it layers on nostalgia. Floor mats and door sill plates wear “Heritage Edition” badging. You still get heated power-adjusted seats, a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment setup, and mirrors with heating/to-adjustment. The audio system steps up with Bose’s eight-speaker setup. Pricing, Availability & Other Trims

The destination fee for the 2026 Nissan Z only raises the starting price by $50. With the $1,245 charge, the starting price is now $44,215.  The Z Nismo will cost $66,996, while the Z Performance will start at $54,215. The Heritage Package is significantly less expensive than the $6,165 for the 2024 version, costing $2,940.
