The 20th Shanghai International Auto Show commenced on April 18, under the theme of "Embracing the New Era of the Automobile Industry". The event spanned an exhibition area of over 360,000 square meters and witnessed participation from over 1,000 car companies globally. Among them, OMODA, a brand dedicated to providing a trendy lifestyle for the youth, unveiled its first-ever electric vehicle, garnering significant attention.
The OMODA EV stays true to its "ART IN MOTION" design philosophy, preserving the hatchback coupe SUV's silhouette, dynamic taillights, and other unique features. Furthermore, the EV incorporates the interplay of light and shadow to create an incredibly realistic and visually appealing appearance. The vehicle's overall design exudes a stylish and modern aesthetic, reminiscent of a dream-like landscape.
Being an electric vehicle, OMODA EV does not require an internal combustion engine, resulting in various novel and avant-garde changes in its appearance, making it distinctly different from its fuel counterpart. One significant alteration is the addition of a closed air intake grille with an "X" shape that not only enhances the sporty feel but also improves wind resistance. Additionally, the shape of the headlight cluster has been slightly modified to incorporate a LED daytime running light strip and a wider chrome-plated decorative strip that blends into the larger "OMODA" logo, accentuating its technological advancement. The fog lights, wheel rims, and front and rear bumpers have also undergone subtle transformations, aligning with the youthful and athletic aesthetic style.
OMODA EV's interior showcases an even more opulent texture. The central console, armrests, and door panels' reachable areas feature NAPPA fine-textured leather and the central console's decorative panels are accentuated with INS diaphragms and luminous patterns, complemented by 64-colour ambient lights that lend a sci-fi vibe. The EV is available in two contrasting colour schemes: blue-orange interior and blue rice interior. The former exudes a youthful and high-quality feel, while the latter offers a trendy and cosy ambience.
