The first thing to point out about the Model 3 is its appearance. Photos will never do this car justice. The Tesla Model 3 is a stunning vehicle, embodying the sleek aesthetic expected from Tesla. As an electric vehicle, it does not require any engine cooling vents in the front, eliminating the need for a grille. The front of the Model 3 appears sculpted, contributing to its smooth design.

Trims Available

The Model 3 we were presented with is the long-range dual motor version. Tesla has indicated that two other trims will be available in our markets:

• Standard version (short range)
• Long-range dual motor
• Performance version (for those who love Tesla's 'Ludicrous Mode')

Performance

Speaking of Ludicrous Mode, the Tesla Model 3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds with the version we observed and can achieve this in just 3.5 seconds with the performance package, reaching top speeds of up to 255 km/h.

Safety Features

Continuing on the exterior, you will notice that the Model 3 is equipped with eight cameras on all sides, enhancing driving, parking, and safety. Despite being the smallest Tesla, it has received five stars in every category from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Storage and Interior

Like any Tesla, the Model 3 offers storage space in both the front and back. The rear trunk space is divided into two levels: a regular trunk space and a compartment where the fuel tank would typically be located in a fossil fuel vehicle. Additionally, the back seats can be folded down for even more storage.

Interior Design

Upon stepping inside the Model 3, I was pleasantly surprised by the minimalistic design. Unlike the Tesla Model S and X, which have a more cluttered appearance, the Model 3 features a large horizontal screen in the center of the dashboard, keeping the driver's view clear. The dashboard also includes a unique AC vent that runs across the entire front, utilizing a clever two-airflow system controlled through the central screen.

Rear Space

Moving to the back seats, you will find ample headroom and legroom. This version of the Model 3 includes a full panoramic roof, further enhancing the feeling of space in the cabin.

Battery and Charging

This long-range version offers an average range of 500 km on a full charge, with charging times varying based on the charger used. For DC charging, you can expect to gain 274 km in just 30 minutes, while AC charging provides 71 km for every hour of charge.

I had some important questions regarding Tesla's battery technology. According to Tesla, all vehicles come with an 8-year battery warranty.
