Introduction
The trial operation of the first phase of the public transport bus project in Mecca has been launched by the Royal Commission for the City of Mecca and the Holy Sites, through the Unified Transport Center in Mecca (Transport Mecca).
Routes and Services
The project covers the route that connects the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station in Al-Rusaifah district to the Jabal Omar Station near the Grand Mosque.
Project Objectives
This initiative is part of the Guest of Rahman Service Program and aligns with the operational programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
Development Efforts in Mecca
This project is a continuation of previous efforts made by the Mecca Region Development Authority, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Mecca Region.
Institutional Integration
The Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Commission for the City of Mecca and the Holy Sites, Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Farouk Ad-Dasas, emphasized that the Unified Transport Center in Mecca (Transport Mecca) achieves institutional integration among the entities operating in the transport sector within the City of Mecca and the Holy Sites.
