Mitsubishi Pajero Customization by Vishal Tolani

The Mitsubishi Pajero is one of the most popular family SUVs on the streets of the UAE. For those who wish to stand out, this Japanese SUV offers plenty of options. Today, we speak to Vishal Tolani – a member of the UAE Pajero Group – as he takes us over all the modifications and upgrades he’s carried out on his Pajero to make it unique.

What car do you currently drive?

I currently drive a 2010 Mitsubishi Pajero, but as you can see from the pictures, it is quite different from other Pajeros out there.

Have you owned any interesting cars in the past?

Yes, I have owned a Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. I know that’s quite different from the off-roader I currently have in my garage.

What got you into cars?

I have always been passionate about cars since a very young age. Seeing so many modified cars on the streets of the UAE inspired me to modify my car to stand out when I grew up.

What is unique about your car? Have you customized it in any way?

I definitely have customized my car. The upgrades are on the exterior, interior, and performance side as well. On the exterior, I have:

• Added a custom black wrap
• Done a 3M polish
• Upgraded my headlights to the 2013 model year Pajero
• Added TOBY’S 7” Off-Road Lights
• Installed TOBY’S 7” Daytime Running Lights
• Added TOBY’S 4” LED Lights
• Cut the front bumper
• Removed the side steps for better ground clearance
• Added a set of Method race wheels wrapped around Dunlop tires

On the inside, I have:

• Upgraded to a black interior
• Added an ambient lighting system
• Installed Pioneer speakers since I love my music

To enhance performance on-road and off-road, I have:

• Done a custom tune
• Added a Dobinsons off-road suspension system that gives me a 2.5-inch lift

Do you have any upgrades or modifications in the pipeline?

I am very happy with the way my car is, so no, I do not have any upgrades in the pipeline.

Tell me one car you would swap your current car for?

Tough choice, but man do I love the Ford F150 Raptor! If there is one car I’d swap my car for, it would have to be a Raptor!
