Design and Features of the New Model
Thomas Ingenlath, Senior Vice President of Design at Volvo Cars, stated that each vehicle in this series has its own unique personality, and the CMA approach allows every car to feature something distinctive and youthful. He added that this is a "taste" of the upcoming small Volvo cars.
Technologies and Variants of the Vehicle
The new models will be offered as electric vehicles and two hybrid variants with charging capabilities. Additionally, they will feature Volvo's latest connectivity technologies. Håkan Samuelsson, President and CEO, mentioned that these cars have the potential to enhance their market success, as this segment is growing in importance, and electric and hybrid vehicles are crucial for the CMA framework. Production is expected to begin in 2017.
