(BAIC), BAIC Off-road Vehicle Co. to create cars at its Beijing plant. For those unaware of the brand, BAIC retails a tasteful variety of SUVs in the UAE with each model launched to cater to specific tastes of consumers.
The alacrity and commitment of Xiaomi in erecting a plant is revealed by the fact that the foundation stone was laid in April 2022 and the facility was ready to commence operation by June 2023. However, the company hasn’t utilized the scale of its plants optimally and looks at ramping up production in a phased manner. It targets churning out 100,000 vehicles from its plant by the fall of 2024 which has the potential of creating 150,000 vehicles annually in the first stage. The company looks to further augment production to 300,000 vehicles annually in the second phase.
