Strategic Partnership
YallaMotor, the largest and fastest-growing website in the region, has announced a strategic partnership with Global EVRT to gain a deeper understanding of electric vehicle buyers' opinions, perceptions, and purchasing intentions in the region.
Global EVRT Returns to the UAE
Founded to increase the adoption rates of electric vehicles in the region, Global EVRT will return to the UAE on January 17 for the third consecutive year, but with a new and exciting approach.
Launching the Electric Vehicle Journey
This year, the Electric Vehicle Road Trip (EVRT) will be launched at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi, where a group of competitors will race across the UAE and Oman. They will be evaluated based on time taken and electric energy efficiency over a distance of 1,700 kilometers.
Survey Results
Mr. George Bialad, the General Manager of YallaMotor, stated, "We are excited to partner with Global EVRT as we look forward to achieving some great results from the survey we are conducting on our website. We will share the results at the World Future Energy Summit on January 17, at the eMobility seminar in Oman on January 20, and at the eMobility seminar in Dubai on January 24."
The survey, which received 3,785 responses from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) between December 11, 2018, and January 9, 2019, highlights some interesting findings:
- 77.49% of respondents have never driven an electric vehicle.
- 23% of car buyers are willing to purchase an electric vehicle within the next two years.
- Despite the limited availability of electric vehicle offerings in the region, there is clear demand for them.
Educational Video on Electric Vehicles
Using Global EVRT as an ideal platform to target current and future buyers, YallaMotor will also produce a four-part video series aimed at answering key questions about electric vehicles, such as:
- The benefits of purchasing electric vehicles.
- The costs associated with electric vehicles.
- How practical electric vehicles are in the current markets.
Partner Comments
Ben Pullen, CEO and co-founder of Global EVRT, remarked, "Our event centers on raising awareness and education while providing enjoyment and excitement for participants. Partnering with YallaMotor will allow us to reach many car buyers in the Middle East and communicate the latest technological benefits of electric vehicles. This survey will also provide us with valuable insights into buyer perceptions, which will help us enhance the nature of our journeys, events, and upcoming seminars."
