Audi Q2 2017: Premium Compact SUV Launch in Bahrain
Introduction
The first premium compact sports utility vehicle, the Audi Q2, is designed to compete in a segment dominated by more affordable contenders. With its quirky styling and youthful aura, it goes up against the likes of the Korean Kia Soul and the recently introduced Nissan Kicks.
Launch Event
Launched at the Malja Art Space on Amwaj Avenue in Bahrain, the Audi Q2 is the smallest crossover in the brand's line-up, sharing its underpinnings with the A3 sedan. The use of Audi's modular MQB platform helps in keeping costs and weight at bay.
With painting sessions, beatboxers, a Red Bull bar, and food decoration workshops, the launch of the Audi Q2 encapsulated the vehicle's trendy appeal. Broad shoulders and angular styling convey the compact SUV's energy and confidence, while the low roofline and high window line give it a coupe-like stance.
