The 2018 Lexus LS is the latest iteration of the Japanese brand’s flagship luxury sedan, and the 500h is its most planet-friendly version.

The front and rear design of this all-new 2018 Lexus LS will be quite familiar to most of us. The front fascia is dominated by a large yet familiar spindle grille, along with some aggressively-styled, Z-shaped LED front headlamps and daytime-running lights. The rear too isn’t too different, and now gets a slightly tweaked bumper and sharper taillights than before. The side profile witnesses a radical change now and looks more elegant than before. The wheel fenders are distinctly flared, and the coupe-esque lines at the C-pillar are prominent, too.
The cabin of the 2018 Lexus LS is quite a stunner, and is probably a showcase for some of the best craftsmanship and materials ever used in a production car. It is decked with loads of premium quilted leather, real wood inlays and metal surfaces to keep you feeling special and important. The latter cause is also helped with the inclusion of meticulously crafted Kiriko glass, plus special hand-pleated fabric surfaces on the doors. As expected, material and build quality are absolutely top-notch. Also, Lexus has thrown every kind of gizmo and safety tech that they have access to.

Propulsion for the 2018 Lexus LS 500h comes from an intelligent combination of a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine and electric motors. The total system output for this application is 354 horsepower, which goes to the driven wheels and help this bulky yet luxurious barge hit 100 km/h in under 5.5 seconds. Top speed for the hybrid LS is limited to 250 km/h.
