The compact crossover segment is rife with competition from across the globe. Eager to participate, Korean automaker Hyundai introduced the Creta, a car that shares its name with an ancient Greek city, signifying its interest in becoming the best in its class.
Exterior
At first glance, the 2017 Hyundai Creta looks bigger than most of the cars it competes with. Indeed, it is, with its dimensions just a few inches shy of its larger sibling, the Tucson. With ground clearance of 190mm, it can presumably take on rougher roads and tougher terrain. Its contours are simple yet purposeful, and its roof rails and daytime running lights connote that its design is meant to be functional.

Interior
Arguably the best interior in its class, the cabin of the Hyundai Creta limits the use of hard plastic, while the overall design and finish of the interior still takes it over the top. Both the front and rear seats are roomy, thanks to the extra space available inside.

The Hyundai Creta comes with an abundance of standard features that make it stand out from the competition. Bluetooth and USB are standard, as well as the infotainment system that doubles as the centerpiece of the dashboard. Specs
There is only one engine option available for the Creta, a 1.6-liter petrol engine that generates 121 horsepower and 151 Nm of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission and supple suspension allow it to retain its nimble handling characteristics and be comfortable off the beaten path and around town.
Verdict
The Korean brand has hit a homerun with the 2017 Hyundai Creta. It may not be the first option for most, but you will get a lot from this car if you choose to get one of these. The Creta provides massive value for money, and that’s enough to make it a great contender in its segment.
