ADNOC and Abu Dhabi Traffic Introduce 24-Hour Vehicle Inspection Service

Background

ADNOC, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Traffic Licensing Authorities, is considering the introduction of a new initiative to establish 24-hour repair sections at vehicle inspection stations. This aims to alleviate congestion when drivers come to renew their vehicle registrations.

This initiative has been confirmed by Colonel Suhail Al Khaili, Head of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at Abu Dhabi Police. He mentioned that discussions have taken place with ADNOC officials regarding the launch of this new service in Abu Dhabi at the main vehicle inspection station located on Al Murour Street, as reported by Al Ittihad newspaper.

Demographic Growth and Its Impact

Due to rapid demographic growth, the number of licensed vehicles in the emirate has doubled over the past two years, now totaling approximately 830,000, according to Colonel Al Khaili.
