Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante
Launch and Production
During the North American launch of the Zagato Coupe at Pebble Beach, the British automaker announced a new addition to its production line: the Vanquish Zagato Volante.
This exclusive model was unveiled following the presentation of the previous coupe, with the announcement that only 99 units of the Vanquish Zagato Volante would be produced at its headquarters in Gaydon, England.
Design and Specifications
The Vanquish Zagato Volante is the latest creation arising from a collaboration that spans over six decades, with previous Aston Martin Zagato convertibles including the V8 Vantage Volante and the DB AR1.
The Vanquish Zagato Volante makes a robust addition to the Aston Martin Zagato lineage, incorporating refinements and capabilities from its predecessor. Both models share an enhanced version of the Aston Martin V12 engine, generating 592 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
Dimensions and Features
The Vanquish Zagato Volante shares its dimensions with the coupe, embodying the essence of Aston Martin with a classic Zagato touch. It features carbon fiber accents along the vehicle's lower body, providing a seamless visual transition from front to back.
As stated by Aston Martin's Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Maric Raichman: "Just like the coupe, we ensured that the exterior transformation added a strong touch, as our aim was to create something elegant and fluid that beautifully showcases the sculpted rear of the car."
Availability and Pricing
Customer deliveries for the Vanquish Zagato Volante are expected to commence in 2017, although pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
