Comparing the Corolla vs Civic vs Sentra

The comparison of the Japanese hot cakes.

Toyota Corolla

Undoubtedly the most popular and the best-selling model in the world is the Toyota Corolla. This is one car which sells no matter the positives or the negatives. For Toyota, this has become the safest bet. So, for the 2016 model, the car is still based on the 2014 shape and is bound to sell nonetheless. One would ask why is that the case. This is because the Corolla is one of the cheapest cars to maintain in the market and with the spare parts easily available throughout the world, servicing this car is easy as 1-2-3. The Corolla is marketed as the all-in-1 for a small family and it does the job perfectly.

Honda Civic

The people who are not fans of the hugely popular Corolla have the alternative in the form of the Honda Civic. The Honda Civic till 2011 was the name popular in the after-market modifications. After all, the car shares the DNA with the infamous Type-R vehicles so enthusiasts do expect performance from this little street car. However, from the 2012 shape (which by the way is still continuing to sell), Honda has focused on the more family-oriented angle and thus faced backlash from all over the world for the styling of the Civic in particular. Sure, the car has added features and better ride quality than the Corolla but for Civic purists, it does not seal the deal. Thankfully though, there is a replacement coming this year

Nissan Sentra

Somewhere between the battle of the goliaths (Corolla vs Civic), one always seems to forget the Nissan Sentra. Earlier, people used to compare the Corolla with Sunny but now Sunny is the lower end of the segment and in its place is the Sentra. Well, it is not too bad of a car for starters. It does what it is meant to do – transport from point A to point B. Also, the styling and interior ain’t bad at all. I always wondered why the Sentra is not as popular as the other two Japanese competitors. Do give it a shot. Check out our review.
