Ford Everest: A Comprehensive Overview of Features and Capabilities
Introduction
Suddenly out of nowhere, the demand for old-gold ladder-frame SUVs has increased, and Ford has decided to tap into the market with the Ford Everest. The Ford Everest is basically a truck in SUV form.
Interior Features
Ford claims that the interior is a “sanctuary,” with the SUV having the ability to seat up to seven people. The centerpiece is Ford’s portrait-oriented touchscreen, offering customers the choice of an 8- or 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Comfort and Convenience Features
The sanctuary also includes:
- Heated and ventilated 10-way power adjustable memory function seats
- ‘Pop out’ cup holders
- Exquisitely made new leather trimmed e-Shifter
- Electric parking brake
Performance and Stability
To give the Ford Everest better on-road stability, it features slightly wider tracks along with improved suspension and dampers. The Everest is also a beast when it comes to off-roading, thanks to its penetrative Matrix LED Headlights, 360-degree camera, and sensors surrounding the whole SUV.
Engine Options
Depending on the region, the Ford Everest will be available with:
- A new 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6
- The tried-and-tested 2.0-litre turbo diesel engines
- The 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol engine (available in some markets from 2023)
Design and Customer Feedback
“We showed customers the Everest at several points during the design process, and their feedback was consistent: They loved the exterior with the strong and rugged design, but they also thought it was sleek and modern,” said Max Wolff, design director for China and Ford’s International Markets Group (IMG). “They said that the Everest would give them the confidence to go off-road; it looks like a proper SUV.”
