Introduction
The South Korean automotive manufacturer Genesis has confirmed the launch of the luxurious sports sedan, the G70, in the Middle East in April 2018. The G70 will be the third model to reach the region, following the mid-size G80 and the popular G90.
Design and Performance of the G70
Altair Yilmaz, General Manager of Genesis Middle East and Africa, stated, "The G70 will enhance the appeal of Genesis vehicles; this model will offer elegance, comfort, and superior performance, which are key factors in a competitive luxury car market."
Technical Specifications
Unveiled in September 2017 in South Korea prior to its regional launch, the Genesis G70 is a sporty vehicle featuring an elegant and dynamic exterior design, paired with a sophisticated and comfortable interior.
Engine Options
The G70 will offer two engine choices:
- 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
- 3.3-liter turbocharged V6 engine.
Engine Specifications
The smaller engine produces 250 horsepower and 353 Nm of torque, while the larger engine delivers 365 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Launch Timeline
Deliveries of the Genesis G70 are expected to commence in the second quarter of this year.
