Continuing the trend of diversifying the product portfolio, Haval has not forgotten about upsize market as well. The car maker has launched the Haval H8 to serve its – more demanding – consumers. The H8 is meant to be a top-tier SUV from the brand yet still affordable and bundled with features. The H8 is still very much a crossover without much offroading capability as the target segment is filled with European players.

The Haval H8 is a mid-size offering from the Chinese brand. It measures 4.806 meters in length, 1.975 meters in width and 1.794 meters in height. The wheelbase is 2.915 meters long. This mid-size SUV is powered by a bigger 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine producing 220 brake horsepower and 324 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and the car comes with an time four-wheel-drive platform. All this adds up to a decent fuel consumption rate of 12.5 liters / 100 kilometers.
Coming to the interior, the car features ESP, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), six airbags (two front, two side and two curtain), reverse camera with angular lines, front and rear parking sensors. The Haval H8 also comes equipped with the Infinity 10-speaker 5.1 surround sound system. The 8” touchscreen infotainment also features AUX/USB ports as well as DVD for viewing pleasure. Other than that you will find leather seats with 8-way electrical adjustment.
Exterior features include adaptive front lighting, chrome plated front grille, side steps, roof rack, LED headlamps with daytime running lights and LED taillamps as well. The Haval H8 is available in the UAE courtesy Swaidan Trading. The starting price of the H8 is AED 117,000.
