The big, brash and tyre-wrecking machine Ken Block is back again with his GymKhana video. Titled the GymKhana 8, the latest clip features him pouncing around a Ford Fiesta in our very own backyard. Yes, the newest feature from Ken Block is based in Dubai.
The video has everything that Dubai has to offer in terms of cars. It features the entire fleet of Dubai Police cars boxing the Fiesta for a 360 burnout, a truck pulling a plane for another 360 session and a pick-up that runs on two wheels for Ken to do 360 around it while in motion on the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road. Finally, Ken jumps on a helicopter to perform a somersault into the ocean because it’s Ken.
Moreover, the video has brief shots of various places in Dubai like the Palm, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai Mall Fountain, Skydive Dubai and ofcourse the desert.
Also, there is a drag race between Block’s Fiesta and a couple of supercars from Dubai including Lexus LFA, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari F12 and a Lamborghini Aventador just for fun since the UAE is the playground for supercars.
The video also features a couple of Fords kept as display pieces across various spots in a very cheeky manner by Ford to promote its future models. In the video, try to look out for the Focus RS and the new Ford GT conveniently placed to show off.
Coming to Ken’s car itself, it is a Ford Fiesta that is customized by a special group with expertise in rallying to give it an astonishing 650 BHP. Couple that power with an AWD and super sticky tires and the small Fiesta propels from 0-100 in 1.8 seconds.
