Opening of the Largest Specialized Lexus Center in the UAE with Environmental Commitment

As part of its commitment to environmental protection and its ongoing support for the UAE Vision 2021, Lexus has announced the launch of the largest, most eco-friendly specialized center for sales, maintenance, and spare parts in the UAE.

Location and Size of the Center

The center, which reflects the new corporate identity of Lexus, is located in Dubai Investment Park, exemplifying Al-Futtaim’s strategic focus on new and future projects near the site of Expo 2020.

The new center spans 5,700 square meters and will feature:

• 192 parking spaces.
• Three pickup and drop-off areas capable of handling up to nine vehicles simultaneously.
• Two car wash areas.
• 24 maintenance workshop spaces.
• A shaded and secure bicycle parking area within 30 meters of the building entrance.

Commenting on the opening of the new center, Mohammad Maqtari, General Manager at Al-Futtaim Lexus, stated: "This is a proud moment for the Lexus brand in the UAE. Sustainable Initiatives at the Center

The new Al-Futtaim Lexus center for sales, maintenance, and spare parts has been designed to support several sustainable initiatives, including the following:

Solar Panels

Solar panels have been installed at the new center to help reduce energy consumption by 769,398 kilowatt-hours annually.

Carpet Recycling System

The carpets used in the center's flooring are made from recycled materials that have received approval from Dubai Municipality.

Water Recycling System

The car wash areas are equipped with a system for treating and recycling used water, helping to reduce water consumption and waste.

Natural Daylight – Solar Tubes

The roof of the maintenance workshops features solar tubes that provide ample natural daylight equivalent to LED lighting, reducing electricity consumption during the day.

LED Lighting

The facility is equipped with LED lights featuring motion sensors throughout the buildings to ensure efficient use of electricity.

Organic Paint

All types of paint used in the center have received approval from Dubai Central Laboratories, ensuring they do not exceed permissible limits for volatile organic compounds, thus ensuring a safe working environment.

Airflow Control

The entrance and exit corridors of the center have been enhanced with unique applications to minimize the loss of cooled air.

Condensate Recovery System

Condensed water from air conditioning units is recovered and reused for irrigation of the landscaping around the center.

Water Distribution System

The center features an advanced drinking water distribution system that provides sophisticated filtration and purification capabilities, reducing the carbon footprint of the facility.

Electric Vehicle Charging Station and Parking

The new center includes four electric vehicle parking spaces to encourage and facilitate the use of electric cars for environmental protection. It also features secure bicycle racks and pathways designated for individuals with disabilities.
