New Volkswagen Touareg - Details and Updates
Introduction
The Touareg is a significant model in the lineup of the German automaker Volkswagen. Since its inception into the SUV market in 2002, it has made a notable impact. By learning from past experiences, Volkswagen has already begun testing the next-generation model, five years after the previous version was launched in 2011.
Design Details
While the identity of this test vehicle cannot be fully confirmed (noting that the company is also working on a long-wheelbase Tiguan), all indications suggest that this is indeed a new Touareg.
Vehicle Size
As evident from the images, the vehicle appears smaller than the current model, with the side mirrors slightly repositioned towards the rear.
Engineering Foundations
The new Touareg will be built on the same platform as the Bentley Bentayga, Audi Q7, and the new Porsche Cayenne. It is expected to feature gasoline, diesel, and hybrid variants in its lineup.
Future Expectations
As seen in the images, the front of the vehicle is heavily camouflaged, preventing us from making further assessments at this time. However, the visible section suggests that the launch may be closer than anticipated.
