UAE Meteorology Issues Weather Warning for Motorists

The National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) in the UAE is warning motorists to be extra careful on the roads due to visibility impairment and the unsteady surfaces caused by the intense rainfall on Saturday.

A gloomy and rainy weather will continue to take over the country in the next few days, with clouds scattered over and heavier showers.

Official Statements

An official from the NCMS stated that the unstable weather condition is due to clouds moving from KSA to the UAE.

“Winds will be moderate to fresh in general, causing blowing dust and may reduce the horizontal visibility over some areas at times,” said the official to Khaleej Times. “Going to the sea is not advisable for members of the public because of the vicinity of clouds, which may cause rough seas at times.”
