The Cadillac XTS, although not a very popular car in the Middle East, is the brand’s answer to the Kia Quoris and Lincoln Continental. Launched in 2012 and positioned as the halo model in the brand’s line-up, the refreshed XTS is at the receiving end of appearance, chassis, and technological changes, before its Middle Eastern reveal in the fourth quarter of the year.

Reworked body panels see a few aesthetic changes that include new fenders, a grille, and a set of hideous headlamps which are complemented by drooping tail lamps that slice their way into the trunk lid. Clearly then, the XTS has lost its intimidating visual similarity that it shared with striking models such as the ATS and CTS sedan.
Inside, the 2018 Cadillac XTS welcomes changes that are far more pleasing. Perforated detailing on the seats are matched with a microfiber suede headliner and premium wood trim on the Platinum model. Along with redesigned seat foam geometry and wire frame structure, rear seat passengers benefit from a whopping 40-inches of legroom.

Powered by a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V6 engine that churns out 304 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque, the standard XTS sports an improved front-to-rear weight balance while being mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The more powerful V-Sport chucks out 410 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, thanks to its twin-turbo 3.6-liter engine and is arguably one of the most potent six-cylinders in its segment.
