The Mitsubishi Pajero is still going strong 35 years after it was introduced, with the first generation launched in 1982. The fourth generation Pajero carries on the proud tradition set by its predecessors with five versions available in Qatar at a price range of QAR 83,9000 to QAR 140,000. The Pajero holds its own against its rival Chevrolet Captiva with off-road enthusiasts who love nothing more than to take their SUV out for a drive in the desert.
Exterior

The engine capacities of the various versions of the Pajero available in Qatar range from 3.0L to 3.8L. At the lower end, the 3.0L engine generates horsepower of 184 bhp and torque of 267 Nm, while on the higher end, the 3.8L engine has horsepower of 250 bhp and torque of 330 Nm. Fuel economy ranges from 13L/100 km to 13.5L/100 km.
Verdict
When it comes to choosing between the Pajero and the Captiva, the deciding factor may ultimately boil down to practicality vs. power. The Captiva has a lower price range of QAR 77,000 to QAR 116,000, which means it provides better value for money. It also has superior fuel economy, ranging from 8.9L/100 km to 10.7L/100 km. On the other hand, the Pajero has more powerful specs as well as better off-road capability.
