MG XPOWER: A New Era of High-Performance Motorsports

Introduction to MG XPOWER

SAIC Motor Corporation, a Chinese state-owned automotive design and manufacturing company and the parent company of MG Motor, has launched MG XPOWER - a new high-performance Motorsports division. This launch is part of its ‘Four New Trends’ development strategy focusing on Electrification, Intelligent Connectivity, Sharing, and Globalization.

World Premiere of the MG6 XPOWER

At the opening ceremony of MG’s 95th anniversary, the MG6 XPOWER TCR racing model made its world premiere at the Shanghai Motor Show. With aggressive styling and iconic ‘British Green’ paint, the new MG6 XPOWER is inspired by MG’s rich sporting heritage. Its specifications include:

• 350hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine
• Acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just four seconds
• X-Trac six-speed sequential transmission
• Paddle shift controls
• Adjustable differential lock

Supporting Young Speed Enthusiasts

MG’s XPOWER High Performance Sports Division aims to encourage and support the up-and-coming generation of speed enthusiasts. A rewards program will be launched to recognize young racers who win in the performance models, offering them generous prizes. Production details for the MG XPOWER MG 6 series will be announced soon.
