Chinese automaker EXEED showcased its cutting edge factory and laboratory to media and dealers as part of the firm’s 2023 Global Dealer Conference. For those of you who don’t know, EXEED is an automotive division of premium sport utility vehicles of Cherry Automobiles from China. EXEED entered the Middle East market last year.
The firm’s “Intelligent Connected Mega Factory” is based on environment-friendly production and intelligent-digital technology. Spread across a whopping 830,000 square meters, the factory has its own stamping workshop, welding workshop, painting workshop, general assembly workshop, modular workshop, engine workshop, transmission workshop for seamless production. EXEED says that the factory can achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 complete vehicles and 200,000 KD parts (automotive parts) which translates into a complete vehicle offline every minute. The workshop that caught our attention the most was the welding workshop. AI has been incorporated into it and it sports more than 300 robots, with advanced technologies such as automation rate, parameter group control, and online measurement reaching 100%.
EXEED’s NVH laboratory is Asia's first quiet laboratory. Full performance tests of the vehicles can be conducted in the laboratory. EXEED gave media and dealers an insight into its "crafting an excellent brand" motto with the special visit.
