Allison Transmission has announced that it will be joining forces with the Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation to integrate its Allison 1000 Series™ and 2000 Series™ transmissions into the FCCC’s MT vans. If there is one manufacturer that is challenging the norm, it would have to be Chinese automaker BYD that is launching its e3 electric sedan with a clutch pedal and an H-pattern manual transmission.
